Marina worked for over a decade as a film producer in São Paulo, loving both the documentary and advertising life. She moved from the tropics to explore a rainy, beautiful life with music & suond in Amsterdam.

Wilson Brown

Wilson is a composer, creative director and multimedia artist. After receiving a B.A. and M.A. from Brown University he has worked creating music, sounds and experiences around the world. His work has been exhibited in the MoMA and the New Museum and honored at Cannes, the One Show, D&AD, Sundance, Annecy, TriBeCa, AICP, the Oscars, the Emmys and most recently, the Grammys, with his side project, Alagoas. He received the Art Directors Club’s “Young Guns 9”, Boards’ Composer of the Year, and serves on boards and juries in the audio, advertising and design communities. Wilson lives in Brooklyn with his family.

Pedro Botsaris

Pedro is a versatile composer, a multi-instrumentalist and music lover. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Botsaris studied at the Proarte Music School before completing degrees at London’s SAE and Middlesex University. In 2013, Pedro moved to Brazil to launch Antfood São Paulo and more recently to the Netherlands, where he is responsible for our studio in Amsterdam. His work has more Cannes Lions and he was honored by ABP “Profissionais do ano” as the top music producer in Brazil in 2016.

Lourenço Schmidt

Lou devoted his entire adolescence to playing guitar as fast as possible, but one day he grew tired of playing sixteenth notes at 180 BPM. He went on to study composition at UFRGS in Porto Alegre, where he developed a passion for the intricate textures of electroacoustic and orchestral music. Stop by Antfood SP to see the master at work, chopping and distorting found noises, creating abstract textures while interweaving some “normal” notes to keep it interesting. In his free time, Lou works on his solo career and plays video games.

Sue Lee

Having worked in production for over 13 years, Sue has expertise producing leading high -quality work across the production landscape from branding/marketing, thru production, post production and audio production. Prior to Antfood, Sue helped lead content branding efforts for Jordan/Nike and Motorola at Los York, production and creative agency. As Executive Producer for The Mill, she helped build the creative studio that partnered with their post production arm. Sue earned her stripes at The Ebeling Group, where she worked with award winning production companies on 6 continents. Sue’s credits include producing large-scale initiatives for Nike/Jordan, Sonos, Fitbit, Motorola, Google, Coca-Cola, IBM and Apple.

Christiane Rachel Gamas Abreu de Carvalho is a true Paulista (born and raised in São Paulo), and maintains a deep pride in her Portuguese heritage. Since she was young, she dreamt of working in advertising - following novel campaigns and experimenting with film and video. Subsequently, she chose to study Advertising at Mackenzie Presbyterian University and Graphic Design at the Pan-American Art School. Later, she studied Cinema at Academia Internacional de Cinema, with the intention of becoming a director, but when she started interning at an audio production company and entered the world of music - she was hooked! When Chris is not managing jobs and attending clients at Antfood she practices photography, sewing, graphic design and caring for her little dog, Jolie.

Alette Boogman

Alette is a Dutch/American currently living in Amsterdam by way of Los Angeles. Originally from Montana, she spent her youth studying classical piano and cello, devouring art and music magazines, and playing in indie rock bands. With a degree in Marketing and International Business, her passion for brands and music brought her to LA to work at the intersection of both. She joins Antfood after brand roles at American Apparel and TOMS.

Spencer Casey

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Spencer discovered a fondness for music at a young age. Beginning with picking out pop melodies on the family piano and evolving into hunching over a 4-track in lieu of sleep, Spencer’s growing interest in music led him to pursue a degree in Music Technology at New York University. In his spare time, Spencer enjoys soldering, playing in Past Planes, and coping with the embarrassment of yet another losing season for the Orioles.

Trevor Haimes

Trevor is French/American and is a local to NYC. He grew up listening to his sister playing Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 Op. 18 on the piano while learning how to become an electronic music producer on his spare time. His father’s obsession with Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys and his mother’s affection for Francis Cabrel and Serge Gainsbourg left a lasting impression on music’s possibilities. Today he’s still a musician at heart with a goal to create 999 unique kick drums through analog synthesis. God Bless Him.

Born and raised in São Paulo, Pablo’s career in music started at age 19 as a studio assistant. He then embarked on an educational tour, studying at Instituto de Áudio e Video in São Paulo, School of Audio Engineering in London, and most recently at Berklee College of Music in Boston. With 15 years of experience under his belt, Pablo is AntfoodSP’s chief audio engineer and technician. In his spare time, Pablo studies music theory, piano and how to not fall on his longboard.

Vinicius Nunes

Born in Salvador, Brazil, Vinicius is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and engineer. At 13, he began his career playing on Carnival floats in Bahia, and has been creating music ever since. After studying advertising communication at Universidade Católica do Salvador, he went on to earn a degree in audio engineering at IAV in São Paulo. Vinicius has played with many Brazilian artists, including his band Pirigulino Babilake, and has produced music for clients such as Citroen, Nike and Nova Schin.

Dalton is from Manhattan (Kansas) and is our middle-America expert. He studied Music Production & Engineering at Berklee School of Music, and is a DOPE drummer.

Tiago Lins

Tiago was born in Recife, Brazil, and at age 19 began playing guitar professionally in pubs and nightclubs throughout northeastern Brazil. In 2007, he put his studies in advertising on hold to move to São Paulo with his band and began playing all around southern and southeastern Brazil. After graduating from Áudio e Video in São Paulo 2011, Tiago went on to work at a number of music studios, recording for some of the Brazilian greats, including Seu Jorge, Paulinho Moska, Fresno and Tom Zé. He currently devotes his free time to studying piano in order to evolve as a composer at Antfood and eventually dominate the world.

Pedro was born in Rio de Janeiro but raised in the frigid, cold mountains of Friburgo. He started playing guitar and keyboards in bands, while completing Bachelor’s degree in Composition at UNIRIO. As he started working on scores for plays and independent shorts, his undeniable passion for music for picture only grew stronger and stronger, which led him to New York for a Masters in Scoring for Film and Multimedia, at NYU Steinhardt. Returning to his native Brazil, he landed at Antfood São Paulo, in the City of Stars and Fog.

Wal hails from Porto Alegre in southern Brazil, where she attended PUCRS and received a degree in social services in 2002. She moved to São Paulo in 2009, where she was introduced to the world of music in advertising. Wal is currently a graduate student at SENAC and is responsible for the financials at Antfood SP.

Luis Bergmann

After an uninspiring start as a gigging guitarist in the ‘90s, followed by more advanced creative music production in the ‘00s, Luis took off on a new adventure and travelled to more than 30 countries while still creating music and sound for online advertising.

Eventually, he grew tired of the nomadic life and his basic laptop setup. He’s now back in Sao Paulo, happy to be surrounded by many musical instruments and the awesome Antfood team.

Studios

Antfood’s studios are built around Vintage Neve, Audient, SSL, and Universal Audio consoles and interfaces. We boast a rich collection of acoustic, electric and electronic instruments along with a world-class microphone cabinet. We prioritize sonics and ergonomics to ensure that each project sounds fantastic and creativity flows effortlessly.

While honoring audio innovations of the last century, Antfood focuses on forward-looking solutions for emerging technologies and new media platforms. Antfood is pioneering hi-end audio production for non-linear and spatialized projects like XR, games and physical installations. We design, build and hack custom hardware and software to capture human gestures, create novel performance interfaces, and develop unconventional audio systems for immersive installations.

Together, our studios include twelve control rooms, three live rooms, isolation booths, and production facilities filled with talented and caring human beings.
